Attention foodies currently in NYC!
Be sure to check out Madison Square Eats, at Madison Square Park daily from 11 AM to 9 PM until May 31. There’s something for everyone–ranging from the fresh fruit popsicles I sampled, to ocotpus balls from Mimi & Coco NY, to Brussel Sprouts and hummus from Ilili. Check out the link for a full list of vendors–nothing is rough on the wallet.
My first visit to Madison Square Eats this month (I’ll obviously be back for more), I went for a light snack–a popsicle from People’s Pops.
People’s Pops serves fresh fruit popsicles and shaved ice throughout the city at a variety of locations (follow the twitter or visit the website to find out exactly where).
I opted for a yellow plum blueberry popsicle, which had pieces of fresh blueberries throughout the popsicle. It was refreshing, and it had none of the uncomfortable after-taste of the fructose-based artificially sweetened popsicles found in most grocery stores.
I’m excited to try all different popsicle flavors throughout the summer–I can’t wait until berry season!
