15th Penn Appétit Magazine Launch: It’s Getting Hot In Here

Is it getting hot in here, or is it just our sizzling new issue? This past Thursday, December 4, we debuted our 15th magazine edition of Penn Appétit. The feature? FIRE.

Guests from all parts of campus braved the cold to join us in Fiji’s grand living room. A flickering projector-screen fire added a cozy touch.

High Street on Market joined us for our celebration, including head baker Alex Bois.

Malted rye butter proved to be the perfect accompaniment for a few kinds of their seasonal artisan bread.

Ultra-tender, meaty ribs came from Jack’s Firehouse, one of the subjects in our feature stories.

Little Baby’s made sure to satisfy our sweet tooth: spiced cinnamon ice cream and a myriad of baked goods (e.g. chocolate chip nut cookies, brownies, bars) hit the spot.

Manakeesh’s classic baklava was flaky, buttery, and sweet: just as it should be.

And of course, there were plenty of s’mores to go around.
