Veg Out & About: Top 7 CVS Finds

Veg Out & About is a column by Carissa Brones about vegan eats around Philly.

Last edition, I ventured to our neighborhood supermarket to bring you Top 10 Fresh Grocer Finds. Now I’m back, with an even bigger challenge: vegan finds at CVS. Although not the ideal place for grocery shopping, sometimes you’re stuck in Van Pelt in need of fuel for your procrastination. Both CVS locations have a decent number of options, but the location near 40th St. definitely has better and greater selection.

1. When going vegan, candy is a soft spot. Most classic options with chocolate, caramel etc. are out of the question. Sour patch kids are great, but when you need more options, CVS has you covered. They basically have a whole aisle devoted to sweets, and so you’re bound to find some tasty vegan treats.
